Choice International Shade (CI Shade) - the Gulf Region's leading experts in high-quality tensile and structural shading solutions. Based in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Tensile fabric structures are engineered membrane systems stretched over steel frames to create shaded, covered spaces. For developers, facility managers and architects in the Eastern Province they deliver sun protection, rapid delivery and striking visual identity where concrete can feel heavy and costly. The phrase "tensile fabric structures Eastern Province" describes both the product and the market conditions we design for — intense UV, sand and occasional high winds.
CI Shade has more than two decades working across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. We design, engineer, manufacture and install at our 8,000 m² facilities, and we carry Gulf-stamped calculations for wind ratings up to 120–175 kph. Clients get full project documentation and on-site support from permits to handover.
They cut heat gain and glare while keeping the appearance modern and lightweight. In a region where UV degradation and abrasive sand are daily realities, choosing the right fabric and steel specification changes whole-life cost. CI Shade focuses on material science and structural accuracy so the shade you build today still performs in ten years.
We specify PVDF-coated PVC and PTFE membranes where extended UV resistance and self-cleaning properties are required, and HDPE where cost-effective breathability is needed. Structures are engineered to Gulf-stamped wind-loads — typically 120–175 kph depending on site — and detailed to shed sand, prevent ponding and reduce heat transmission to the space beneath.
CI Shade engineers every project in-house using CAD and SolidWorks. That matters because fabric patterning and joint placement dictate both aesthetics and load paths. We supply stamped calculations, shop drawings and construction documents, and collaborate with architects to retain design intent while value-engineering for budget and constructability.
Tensile fabric structures serve almost every sector in the Eastern Province. They scale from single carpark bays to stadium roofs, and they integrate with steelwork or stand as independent systems.
We produce stamped structural calculations for wind, snow (where applicable) and seismic requirements. Designs are verified against serviceability limits for membrane tension, and connections are detailed for corrosion resistance in coastal and industrial atmospheres.
Off-site manufacturing in our 8,000 m² facilities keeps site disruption to a minimum. PVC and PVDF membranes are welded and finished under controlled conditions, then inspected before packing. ISO certification and Aramco approval are part of our quality framework.
We work with PVC (PVDF-coated), PTFE, ETFE and HDPE depending on the brief. Steelwork is specified S355 or equivalent with hot-dip galvanizing and optional epoxy/polyurethane top coats for coastal or chemical-exposed sites. The typical process: site survey, conceptual design, FEM analysis, patterning, shop fabrication, delivery and certified installation with final inspection and handover.
Membrane lifespans vary: PVDF-coated PVC commonly delivers 15–20 years in Gulf conditions with routine wash-downs; PTFE exceeds that in aggressive environments but costs more upfront. We recommend scheduled inspections twice a year and immediate attention after any major storm. CI Shade offers maintenance contracts and warranty support to keep performance predictable.
