Choice International Shade (CI Shade) - the Gulf Region's leading experts in high-quality tensile and structural shading solutions. Based in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
PTFE shade structures in the Eastern Province are engineered membrane canopies that use PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) fabric to provide long-lasting solar protection for carparks, walkways, stadiums and industrial yards. Architects, contractors and facility managers choose PTFE where low-maintenance performance and stain resistance matter under harsh Gulf sunlight. The term describes both the membrane material and the complete steel-and-fabric system delivered to site.
CI Shade has 23+ years of regional experience and an 8,000 m² fabrication facility, supplying design, Gulf-stamped engineering (120–175 kph wind considerations), manufacture and installation across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. We work directly with project teams from schematic sketches to on-site handover.
PTFE shade structures Eastern Province projects demand materials and engineering that withstand intense UV, sea-salt exposure and periodic dust storms. PTFE membrane resists soiling and chemical attack better than many alternatives, and when paired with precision-fabricated steel frames it reduces on-site maintenance and keeps performance predictable for years.
Design matters more than most clients expect. We engineer structures to handle wind loads in the 120–175 kph range depending on location and exposure, and specify PTFE membranes with fluoropolymer finishes for UV stability and low surface energy so dirt sheds naturally. The result: shade that performs even after harsh summers and coastal conditions.
CI Shade engineers each PTFE shade using CAD and SolidWorks modelling, complete fabric patterning and Gulf-stamped calculations. We produce shop drawings for review, value-engineer where appropriate, and coordinate with architects and MEP teams so the canopy integrates with drainage, lighting and access requirements.
PTFE membrane can be adapted to a wide range of project types. Typical deployments include:
We supply stamped structural calculations for local authorities and main contractors, and design for local wind and seismic criteria. That reduces approval delays and gives you confidence the PTFE shade structure meets KSA and GCC requirements.
Production takes place in our 8,000 m² facility under ISO processes and Aramco-approved workflows. Off-site manufacturing shortens on-site time and improves quality control for complex PTFE membrane panels and steelwork.
We work with PTFE alongside PVC, PVDF, HDPE and ETFE where appropriate, selecting membrane type to match project lifespan and aesthetic goals. Steel framing is specified to client tolerance and site conditions; typically hot-dipped galvanised or epoxy-coated finishes with plate and connection details prepared in shop drawings. The standard CI Shade delivery follows: site survey, detailed design, fabrication, factory quality checks, erection and final inspection.
PTFE membranes have low surface energy and are highly resistant to staining and atmospheric chemicals, which reduces cleaning frequency. CI Shade offers scheduled maintenance programs and post-installation inspections; we provide repair and warranty support and recommend simple wash cycles to retain reflectance and appearance.
