Choice International Shade (CI Shade) - the Gulf Region's leading experts in high-quality tensile and structural shading solutions. Based in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Pool shade structures Madinah are engineered tensile canopies and supporting steel work designed to protect pool users from intense sun, reflected heat and occasional sand. Architects, facility managers and developers specify them to reduce surface temperatures and prolong pool finishes. The primary aim is comfort and protection, but done badly they add maintenance headaches. CI Shade designs for both performance and practicality.
CI Shade has delivered Gulf-focused shading for more than two decades from facilities in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. We produce stamped engineering, pattern-controlled membrane fabrication and on-site installation managed to ISO and Aramco-approval practices across the region.
Shade over water changes behaviour immediately. Pools stay cooler, UV exposure drops, and chemical degradation slows. CI Shade delivers engineered pool shade structures Madinah clients can rely on: membrane selection tuned to Gulf UV, steelwork specified for sand abrasion, and connections detailed for high-wind events.
We engineer structures to meet Gulf realities — relentless UV, high daytime temperatures and occasional sand-laden winds. Our designs carry wind load checks in the 120–175 kph range when required and specify UV-stable coatings and PVDF-coated polyester membranes to resist chalking and embrittlement. Short life-cycle fabrics are avoided; longevity is paid for up-front and recovered in lower maintenance.
CI Shade uses CAD and SolidWorks for geometry and connection details, then produces pattern-controlled fabrication files. We produce Gulf-stamped calculations when clients require them and iterate shop drawings with contractors to avoid clashes. It’s not glamorous work, but it saves time on site and prevents costly rework.
Pool shade structures Madinah are used across multiple sectors. Typical deployments include:
Off-site manufacturing takes place in CI Shade’s 8,000 m² fabrication facility. That means controlled sewing, precise membrane patterning and pre-assembly of steel connections—fewer surprises on site and predictable lead times.
We operate under ISO processes and hold Aramco approvals for projects that demand it. Experience in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain gives us the practical know-how to specify finishes, drainage and anchorage that resist local conditions.
Typical materials include PVDF-coated PVC membranes for longevity, HDPE knitted fabrics for low-cost shade sails, and specialist options such as PTFE or ETFE where high translucency or long-term durability is required. Steelwork is specified as S355 or equivalent, shop-primed and polyester powder-coated or hot-dipped galvanised depending on client preference. Every project follows a clear process: site survey, 3D modelling, stamped calculations (if required), shop fabrication, then factory acceptance before installation.
Expect a PVDF membrane life of 15–20 years under normal Gulf exposure; coatings and stainless fixings extend service life. Maintenance is straightforward: periodic inspections, tension adjustments and occasional wash-down to remove dust and salts. CI Shade offers planned maintenance packages so owners budget accurately and avoid reactive repairs.
