Choice International Shade (CI Shade) - the Gulf Region's leading experts in high-quality tensile and structural shading solutions. Based in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Outdoor shade solutions Makkah are engineered tensile canopies and steel-framed shelters designed to reduce solar heat, protect people and assets from sand abrasion, and stand up to strong seasonal winds. Architects, facility managers and developers specify these systems for carparks, walkways, courtyard plazas and public gathering areas where shade and ventilation both matter. The primary aim is practical: deliver long-lasting shade that performs under Gulf climate stresses while meeting architectural intent.
CI Shade brings 23+ years of regional experience to projects across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Our in-house design, engineering and manufacturing — backed by Gulf-stamped calculations and an 8,000 m² production facility — keeps every project on spec and on schedule.
Choose solutions that are designed for the local environment, not adapted from elsewhere. CI Shade engineers every structure to withstand intense UV, sandstorms and wind loads typical across the Hejaz region, and we specify materials that keep maintenance low while preserving aesthetics.
We design to withstand 120–175 kph wind loads where required and select fabric coatings for high UV stability. PVDF-coated PVC and HDPE knitted fabrics are common choices: PVDF membrane with a 15–20 year lifecycle and a dirt-repellent finish, or HDPE that breathes and reduces ambient temperatures beneath by up to 10°C in well-ventilated applications. The result: shade that performs season after season.
CI Shade uses CAD and SolidWorks for geometry and finite-element checks, plus fabric patterning to control seam stresses. We produce Gulf-stamped calculations and shop drawings, and collaborate with architects to retain design intent while value-engineering cost and buildability. That means you get stamped, install-ready documents and a realistic construction programme.
Outdoor shade solutions Makkah cover a wide range of uses across public and private sectors.
All structural calculations are produced in-house and can be stamped for Saudi projects. We model wind uplift, cable tensions and connection details so the installation team has accurate bolt lists and erection sequences.
Our factory capacity reduces on-site hours and improves quality control. Fabric welding, CNC steel cutting and finishing occur under controlled conditions; that lowers rework and speeds handover on tight Makkah schedules.
We specify PVC (PVC/PVDF coated membrane), PVDF-coated fabrics, HDPE knitted shade cloth, and where required, lightweight ETFE cushions. Steelwork uses S275 or S355 where the design demands higher yield, hot-dip galvanised and optionally polyester powder-coated to resist coastal corrosion. Project workflow: site survey → concept and load study → stamped engineering → off-site fabrication → site installation → handover and scheduled maintenance.
Expect service life measured in years: PVDF membranes typically show 15–20 years of useful life under Gulf sun when detailed correctly. Routine maintenance is straightforward — periodic inspections of tensioning, drainage and anchor bolts; fabric cleaning if required. We offer maintenance contracts and warranty support to keep performance predictable.
