Choice International Shade (CI Shade) - the Gulf Region's leading experts in high-quality tensile and structural shading solutions. Based in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Entrance canopy structures Tabuk are purpose-designed steel and fabric assemblies that protect building entries from sun, sand and occasional rain. Architects, contractors and facilities teams use them to control thermal gain at doors, reduce glare and create a clear arrival sequence for occupants. CI Shade supplies both rigid steel-framed canopies and tensioned fabric entrance solutions to suit commercial, institutional and residential projects across Tabuk and the wider KSA.
We handle concept, engineering and site installation from our Gulf offices. With Gulf-stamped calculations, ISO certification and an 8,000 m² production facility, CI Shade meets the compliance and durability expectations that projects in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain demand.
Choose a system engineered for Gulf conditions. CI Shade specifies materials and details that resist intense UV, salt-laden air and abrasive sand. We balance thermal performance with structural economy so the canopy reduces heat load at the entrance while staying within project budgets. Short lead times, stamped calculations and experienced installers make the difference on site.
We design to 120–175 kph wind loads as required by project specifications and local authorities. Fabric choices such as PVDF-coated PVC, PTFE and HDPE are selected for UV stability and tensile strength; steelwork receives hot-dip galvanising or duplex powder coat for long-term corrosion protection. The result is a canopy that blocks up to 90% of direct solar radiation at peak sun angles while shedding sand and rain without ponding.
All canopies are modelled in CAD and SolidWorks with full fabric patterning where required. CI Shade produces Gulf-stamped engineering calculations, shop drawings and construction documents so your consultants get stamped deliverables, not sketch-level drawings. We involve structural and MEP coordinators early to avoid site clashes; that saves rework and keeps the programme tight.
Entrance canopy structures Tabuk are used across sectors where first impressions and weather protection matter. They integrate with façades, can be lit for wayfinding and accept signage or building-mounted services when designed correctly.
CI Shade delivers stamped calculations that reference regional load cases. We size connections and anchors for specified wind speeds (120–175 kph) and provide as-built drawings for municipality approvals.
Our 8,000 m² production facility fabricates steel frames, patterns membrane panels and applies factory finishes under controlled conditions. ISO procedures and on-site QA during installation keep tolerances tight and handover predictable.
We specify PVC (PVDF-coated), PTFE, ETFE and HDPE membranes depending on project priorities. Steel frames are typically S355 hot-rolled sections with hot-dip galvanising to BS EN ISO 1461 and a duplex powder-coat finish where additional protection is needed. Connections use grade 8.8 or 10.9 fasteners with prescribed grout or chemical anchor systems for masonry and concrete. From site survey to handover we follow a five-step workflow: survey, design, manufacture, install, and maintenance handover.
Expect a PVDF membrane with a 15–20 year service life when specified and maintained correctly; HDPE fabrics will need more frequent inspection but are economical for screened entrances. Steelwork life depends on coating system and site environment — standard practice is a duplex system with periodic inspections every 12 months. CI Shade offers maintenance programmes and warranty support to keep canopies performing.
