We specify membranes with UV stabilisers and optional PVDF topcoats to resist chalking and UV degradation. Structural steel is hot-dip galvanised to Class A or coated with two-part polyurethane where required; that keeps corrosion at bay even in coastal Saudi sites. Wind loads are not theoretical — our engineers model uplift, ponding and dynamic forces and deliver drawings stamped to GCC standards.
CI Shade engineers use CAD and SolidWorks for form-finding and fabric patterning, then produce shop drawings and CNC-cut patterns for repeatable accuracy. We work with architects from schematic sketches through to on-site setting-out. The engineering side is handled in-house which means quicker revisions, tighter tolerances and fewer surprises on site.

Typical car parking shades use PVC or PVDF-coated polyester membranes for the canopy, HDG or painted steel tube and plate for the frame, and engineered connection details to control transfer of loads. Where higher chemical or solar resistance is needed we specify PTFE or ETFE alternatives. CI Shade’s process follows concept, detailed design, off-site manufacture, factory acceptance and site installation with QA checks at each stage.
Membranes carry expected service lives between 15 and 25 years depending on material and exposure. PVDF-coated fabrics resist chalking and can be specified with self-cleaning additives; steelwork uses hot-dip galvanising plus shop-applied primers and topcoats when necessary. CI Shade offers scheduled maintenance contracts that include membrane inspection, tension checks and stainless-steel hardware replacement.
