Choice International Shade (CI Shade) - the Gulf Region's leading experts in high-quality tensile and structural shading solutions. Based in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
As a canopy supplier Riyadh projects demand someone who understands brutal sun, sand and unpredictable wind. A tensile canopy is a pre-engineered fabric roof stretched over a steel frame — used for carparks, walkways, schools and leisure spaces. It shields people and assets, reduces heat gain and gives architects flexibility to shape shade where a hard roof cannot.
CI Shade covers design, engineering, manufacturing and installation across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. We carry Gulf-stamped calculations for 120–175 kph wind loads, are ISO certified and Aramco approved; experience matters when you specify canopies for Riyadh conditions.
Choosing the right canopy supplier Riyadh means choosing engineering that holds up. CI Shade engineers structures to reduce surface temperatures, resist intense UV and meet stamped wind-load requirements — not marketing copy, real calculations. We build from detailed CAD and SolidWorks models, then fabricate off-site in our 8,000 m² facility to control quality and keep programmes tight.
PVDF-coated membranes with a 15–20 year service life are our standard option where long-term UV resistance is critical. Steelwork uses S275/355 grade, hot-dip galvanised and polyester powder-coated for desert corrosion resistance. We design for 120–175 kph wind loads and detail drainage so sand and debris don’t accelerate wear.
We work from concept sketches through to shop drawings and fabric patterning using CAD and SolidWorks. Gulf-stamped calculations and construction documents are issued for every project. If budget or programme is tight, our value-engineering options cut cost without cutting structural safety — yes, there are trade-offs, but we call them out up front.
Tensile canopies are highly adaptable. We install for new-builds and retrofits, and we coordinate with MEP and civils teams on-site to avoid surprises.
We fabricate off-site in our Gulf facilities to maintain tolerances, reduce site hours and control finish quality. That scale keeps lead times predictable and improves HSE outcomes on Riyadh sites.
Certification matters for procurement and compliance. Our documented processes and Aramco approval give clients confidence on public and private-sector contracts in KSA and the GCC.
CI Shade works with PVC, PVDF, HDPE, ETFE and PTFE membranes depending on project goals. Typical steel sections are hollow structural sections (HSS) and plate girders; finishes include hot-dip galvanising plus polyester powder coat in standard RAL colours. The process is simple in outline: feasibility, structural design, shop drawings, off-site manufacture, site installation and handover with warranty documentation.
Membrane lifespans vary: PVDF membranes generally offer 15–20 years under Gulf UV when maintained, HDPE shade cloth is lower cost with a shorter service life but good airflow. We provide tailored maintenance programmes — scheduled inspections, tension checks and repairs — and warranty support to extend asset life. Expect sensible intervals: six-month visual checks and annual tension and anchorage inspections for major canopies.
