Designs account for more than shade. We engineer to resist UV degradation and wind loads commonly specified between 120 and 175 kph for Eastern Province projects. Columns, anchor details and membrane pre-tensioning are calculated so the canopy stays stable after sand-laden storms and cycles of thermal expansion.
CI Shade uses CAD and SolidWorks for structural models and fabric patterning. We produce stamped engineering calculations and shop drawings, then iterate with architects and contractors. That means the canopy you approve is the canopy delivered — down to fixing details and sequence of installation.

Fabric selection is driven by project goals. We specify PVDF-coated PVC for a balance of appearance and service life, HDPE for privacy or budget-sensitive fencing, and ETFE or PTFE where light transmission and longevity are priorities. Frames are hot-dip galvanised or epoxy-finished steel with connection details designed for fatigue and corrosion resistance. The typical CI Shade process moves from feasibility and value engineering, to detailed CAD patterning, off-site fabrication, site installation and final inspection.
Membranes such as PVDF-coated options commonly provide a 15–20 year service life in Gulf conditions when properly specified and maintained. Routine inspections after the first year and then annually catch loose fixings, seam integrity issues and debris build-up; maintenance is straightforward and extends life.
